Other Sights
Museo de Mallorca. This museum housed in the Palacio
Ayamans boasts an interesting collection of Moorish, medieval and 18th-
to 19th-century art.
Formentor. Those who wish to explore the northern end of
the island will enjoy the dramatic land and seascape of Cabo Formentor
at the end of a long, narrow peninsula. A winding road with magnificent
views leads to the Deluxe Hotel Formentor, beautifully situated above
the bay. The lighthouse of Cabo Formentor is the northerly point on
Mallorca.
Deia. This beautiful village located just beyond Valldemosa
is worth a visit. It is a favorite with painters and artists, celebrity
writers, and actors. Deia features such posh hotels as La Residencia,
with the restaurant El Olivo, which is considered one of the best in
Mallorca.
Caves of Drach. Located in Porto Cristo, this immense cave
complex features a natural lake where musicians play soleful violin
music in boats gliding across the lake. The caves are among the most
visited sites on Mallorca and are usually overcrowded because there is
only one daily admission at noon.

the cutting edge of technology, with a state-of-the art sprinkler system
